What are Community Project Funding (CPF) grants?

  • Congressionally Directed Spending (i.e., Earmarks)
  • Grantees are typically units of local government or non-profit organizations
  • Grant size ranges from $100,000 to $100 million, as directed by members of Congress
  • 2024 Grantees have until 2032 to spend the funds and close-out the projects (8 years)
  • FY2022 and FY2023 CPF funds have been awarded. FY2024 awards are underway
  • HUD administers a majority of the awards and must comply with federal regulations and environmental review standards
