What are Community Project Funding (CPF) grants?
- Congressionally Directed Spending (i.e., Earmarks)
- Grantees are typically units of local government or non-profit organizations
- Grant size ranges from $100,000 to $100 million, as directed by members of Congress
- 2024 Grantees have until 2032 to spend the funds and close-out the projects (8 years)
- FY2022 and FY2023 CPF funds have been awarded. FY2024 awards are underway
- HUD administers a majority of the awards and must comply with federal regulations and environmental review standards
