Herlong Street, in southern Columbia County, is a two-lane rural collector road that serves as an important east-west corridor. The County has planned to reconstruct the paving of this dirt road in two phases.

 

NFPS provided the design and permitting for the road reconstruction of SW Herlong Street, Phase I, to convert the existing 4.1 mile dirt road to a paved road with improved drainage and shoulders. Major items of work included: major clearing and grubbing, major earthwork, drainage structures, base and asphalt construction and signing and pavement markings.
