MOUNT CARRIE ROAD
Mount Carrie Road, within the Osceola National Forest in eastern Columbia County, is a two-lane rural collector road that serves as an important access route for residents and Forest Service Activities. NFPS provided design and permitting to convert the existing dirt road to a paved road and improve shoulders and drainage.
The NFPS Design Team took great care in acknowledging and following the design criteria provided by the USDA on this to protect our natural resources. Major items of work included: major clearing and grubbing, major earthwork, drainage structures, base and asphalt construction, and signing and pavement markings.
