SR 6/I-75 WATER AND SEWER SYSTEMS

SR 6/I-75 WATER AND SEWER SYSTEMS

NFPS performed a feasibility study, master plan and completed the engineering design and cost estimates for Hamilton County’s owned and operated 125,000 gallon-per-day (GPD) potable water supply and distribution system and a 125,000 gallon per day modular waste water treatment plant that can be expanded in 125,000 GPD increments up to a 500,000 GPD capacity.

The project also included a 19.17-acre effluent spray field to serve the Phase 1 Planning Area along SR-6 east and west of the I-75/SR-6 intersection (Exit 460).

In addition to design and engineering work on this multimillion dollar project, the Grants Department assisted with the acquisition of funding. NFPS assisted with the application for funding through FDEP/SRF, as well as additional resources through the Suwannee River Water Management District. NFPS also supplied bid preparation, negotiation, and construction contract administration.
