A small county like Baker, Suwannee, Lafayette or Hamilton is easy to forget when our legislators go to Tallahassee. As a result, our small communities often get overlooked when it comes to funding or legislation that inadvertently benefits large south Florida counties and negatively impacts small rural counties.
At North Florida Professional Services, it is at the core of our mission to help the communities we serve through engineering and grant services. Not just as engineers, but as invested members of those communities.
That’s why we were honored to sponsor the Rural Counties Day at the Florida Capitol. We agree, that there is more strength in a collective voice showing up at the Capitol to remind our lawmakers that we rural communities are not just small dots on a map. We’re hard-working people who love our community.
